5.0/10
I recently stayed for four nights at the Hilton on St. Charles Avenue, and my experience was disappointing. The hotel's location is convenient, just a few blocks from Bourbon Street, and my room was spacious, but I faced several significant issues. The executive lounge was extremely overcrowded, and the breakfast quality fell short of expectations. My biggest concern, however, was the unsettling incident where I believe my phone was stolen by an employee while I was in the lounge, and the hotel's response was unsatisfactory.
Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious and quiet, but the bathroom felt surprisingly small. The decor had a classic charm, although some aspects looked a bit dated.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly and attentive, the overall service was inconsistent. I was particularly troubled by the handling of the theft incident, as no serious follow-up occurred.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently located near key attractions, making it easy to explore New Orleans. It's close to Bourbon Street, yet positioned away from the craziness.
Dining
5.0
The executive lounge offered a nice setting, but the breakfast selection was lackluster. I was disappointed with the food quality, especially given my expectations from previous stays.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities like the lobby and lounge space were well-decorated, but the cleanliness was an issue, with overcrowding leading to a lack of maintenance.

5.0/10
My stay at the Hilton New Orleans / St. Charles Avenue was a mixed bag. The hotel is clean and well-located, just a couple of blocks from Canal Street and the French Quarter, which was super convenient for exploring the area. However, I found the rooms to be quite small for the price, and despite the friendly staff, the service overall felt a bit uneven, especially regarding housekeeping. The breakfast options were pretty underwhelming considering the quality I expected from a Hilton.
Rooms
6.0
The room was clean but surprisingly tiny. I had read that they were small, but it was more cramped than I expected, especially for the price. I was also a bit disappointed that my requested room wasn't ready even though I had a reservation.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, but there were times when the service felt slow or lacking. I had a couple of instances where my room wasn't cleaned as expected, which was frustrating.
Location
8.0
I loved the location! It's within walking distance of many attractions, yet it feels removed enough from the chaos, which was a nice balance. Getting around was super easy with the streetcar line right outside.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast in the lounge was a letdown. There weren't many warm options, just a few scrambled eggs and sausage, which I expected more variety from a Hilton breakfast. I might opt for breakfast elsewhere next time.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel's character was unique and charming, reflecting its historical roots. However, the gym's equipment could use some maintenance since not everything was in working condition.

7.0/10
My stay was a mix of positives and negatives. The hotel's location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the vibrant streets of New Orleans. While the restaurant, Luke, had delicious food, I experienced issues with housekeeping and noise disturbances from adjacent rooms. Overall, I can't say I'd recommend it for a peaceful stay.
Rooms
5.0
My room was spacious but not as clean as I'd hoped. The tile had some stains and the mini fridge contained food from previous guests. The comfort of the bed left something to be desired, too.
Service
6.0
I interacted with friendly staff at the front desk, but housekeeping skipped my room one day and finding fresh towels was a hassle. I felt that service could have been more attentive in addressing these issues.
Location
8.0
The location was a highlight of my stay. I was within walking distance of many attractions, which made my exploration of the city so much easier and enjoyable.
Dining
8.0
Dining at the on-site restaurant, Luke, was a good experience. The food was high quality and added a nice touch to my visit.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel could benefit from more facilities, as I noticed during my stay that there weren't many options available. While I didn't mind this during my short visit, it would have added value.

6.6/10
During my stay at Hilton New Orleans / St. Charles Avenue, I found the location to be fantastic, with easy access to the French Quarter and other attractions (perfect for exploring!). However, the service and room quality failed to meet my expectations considering the price. I encountered issues with check-in and my room condition, which dampened my overall experience.
Rooms
5.0
My room was large but had a musty smell upon arrival, and I struggled with the tiny bathroom layout. The closet door was stuck, which made unpacking impossible. Overall, it felt outdated for the price I paid.
Service
5.0
Initially, there was a lack of communication and attentiveness from the front desk. However, one staff member, Dione, provided really good service during my stay. It was clear that service could vary significantly.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is a highlight-close to the action of the French Quarter but far enough to avoid the noise at night. I loved being able to walk to so many historic sites and restaurants.
Dining
5.0
I enjoyed the dinner at Luke, the on-site restaurant, but breakfast offerings were lackluster and inconsistent, which was disappointing for a Hilton hotel.
Facilities
5.0
The fitness center had a good selection of equipment, but it reeked of stale cigar smoke, which was unpleasant. Valet service was the standout part of my experience, providing timely and friendly assistance.
